Yamaha Motor has been involved in the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development which was held in Nairobi, Kenya on the 27th of August 2016.
Yamaha Motor showcased its simple and easy Clean Water Supply System which is a system that helps purify water to make it sanitary for consumption. It does not need electricity or use any coagulant chemicals.
Motorcycles were demonstrated at the fair to show their efficient benefits for quickly and inexpensively transporting medicinal products.
Since 1970, Yamaha Motor has been growing in the African market by bringing out outboard motors and various other marine products. Yamaha currently operate in 52 different African countries through local partnerships, expending their business by providing local solutions which include sales and services for motorcycles, outboard motors boats, generators and compact water-purification systems.
During the event, President and CEO of Yamaha Motors, Hiroyuki Yanagi discussed engine reform through diversification and industrialization. Yanagi made it clear that Yamaha has been contributing to the African fishing industry and also helped create job opportunities for the continent.
