Is the Royal Enfield Himalayan coming to the UK?
The original launch of Royal Enfield’s Himalayan motorcycle was brought to a standstill when it did not meet the Euro 4 emission regulations. However, this week at EICMA, the company revealed a modified version meeting regulation standards and is set to make its way to European dealers next year.
When the first launch did not meet regulation requirements we were certain the bike would not make a return to the UK, so it was a pleasant surprise when Royal Enfield announced the exciting news.
The Himalayan features a 400-cc engine which carries a 15 litre tank meaning the bike can run for a good 300 miles before filling up. Moreover, the engine is much smoother and higher levels or torque are produced.
In addition, since the modification, the motorcycle has added ABS, automatic headlights and a change in tyres. In order to pass the Euro 4 emission requirements.
