Pirelli set to host track days
Pirelli have decided to launch a number of track days that will take place after various World Superbike rounds at the popular circuits. However, we won’t let you keep reading with the hope they will be offering a day at Donington Park, because unfortunately there are no plans for a UK date.
The track days will be offered to 200 World Superbike fans who would like to ride on the same tracks as some of their favourite riders. The first track day took place after the weekends main event at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand and there are many scheduled for the rest of the season, including Buriram (Thailand), Magny-Cours (France), Assen (Netherlands), Misano (Italy), Imola (Italy), Laguna Seca (America) and Lausitzring (Germany).
Pirelli Moto Sports Activities Director, Giorgio Barbier stated that:
“To continue to involve our customers this year, we will once again organise the Pirelli SBK Track Days on over half of the World Superbike Championship circuits. These unique track days are for riders who love our brand, and will take place the following Monday after the Superbike rounds. Riders can choose to feel like champions of an international motorcycle series for a day, and ride around the circuits where they see their heroes competing every weekend”.
