Introducing the new Yamaha 2017 YZF-R6

After expecting another teaser video, Yamaha have pleasantly surprised us with information and images regarding the YZF-R6 that we’ve all been waiting for. The “Refined, Redesigned and Remarkable” model contains an incredible 599 cc, 4-cylinder engine with a six speed multiplate slipper clutch and a Transistor Controlled Ignition.

Utilising a sportsbike which has celebrated many SuperSport titles over the years, though enhancing its features and performance is guaranteed to offer added efficiency. It is clear from observing the 2017 model that the motorcycle styling has very much been enhanced with an aggressive, but in other ways more sophisticated look.

The aerodynamics’ of the bike has been greatly amended which will allow reduced drag, as well as inserting new ABS brakes and upgrading suspension to improve performance. The LED headlights and sharp exterior deliver what can be described as aggressive styling which is something which differs the bike to the first R6 motorcycle. In addition, the boosted riding position enables the ability to move comfortably and freely when riding, braking and accelerating, along with a lightweight fuel tank which also enhances the ability to ride more securely.

We definitely believe the 2017 R6 is an improvement to previous models and hope to find out more information and gain a closer look at EICMA.
