Guy Martin joins Mugen TT team
Guy Martin is set to join his teammate, John McGuinness as part of the Mugen team for the TT Zero race which takes place at the Isle of Man TT in June.
However, this isn’t the first-time Martin has taken part in the TT Zero race, as he took on the Victory machine back in 2015 as a last-minute replacement for an injured William Dunlop. Martin came in fourth place last time with his fastest lap being 109.717 mph, so he is hoping to beat his own records and hopefully take the crown in 2017.
Team Mugen have been the reigning champions since 2013, with John McGuinness taking two of those titles, so it looks as though they have a strong team once again. Both Martin and McGuinness will fly out to Japan in early Spring to test the new electric bike for the race, which is named Shinden Roku and is expected to be presented for the first time at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show.
