Great news for British Superbike fans
Exciting news for MCE British Superbike fans as the series holders have signed a deal with ITV to keep showing BSB highlights on ITV 4 on Wednesday nights following a race weekend.
This news comes shortly after concerns that Eurosport would no longer appear on Sky, meaning many would miss out on their favourite sporting event. However, as we told you last week, a deal was made last minute between Sky and Discovery, who are the parent company of Eurosport, which meant no changes would be made to broadcasting.
What is even more exciting is that we can expect to see the British Superbikes highlights show on ITV 4 until at least 2020, which is a great way to catch up on a weekend of missed events.
Stuart Higgs, MCE British Superbikes boss has commented on the recent news stating that:
“I am delighted to extend our partnership with ITV to 2020, which in doing so will confirm twelve consecutive years of MCE British Superbikes being broadcast free to air on ITV 4. As we continue developing the championship, ensuring that it remains accessible to as many people as possible is extremely important. This even longer term broadcast commitment with ITV is great news as we can start what looks set to be an epic 2017 MCE BSB Championship season starting at Donington Park on April 2nd”.
