Giugliano joining Tyco BMW British Superbike Team for 2017
The British Superbike championship is set to feature some hot competition next year with yet another World Superbike contender switching to join the British Championship.
Davide Giugliano is set to join Christian Iddon (who will be competing for the second season) next year as part of the Tyco BMW team. Giugliano who was a five-time podium finisher last season, and finished seventh overall in the World Superbike Championship has plenty of experience to bring to the Tyco BMW team, as he was also crowned the FIM Super stock 100 cup champion back in 2011.
Giugliano is said to be extremely excited to compete for the British Superbike Championship as he stated that “I’m very happy to be joining the Tyco BMW team for my first season in the British Superbike Championship. I have ridden on some of the British circuits already during my time in World Superbike and will look forward to testing and racing on the others next year.
As Davide Giugliano will be riding one of BMW’s S1000RR throughout the Championship, manager Philip Neil is eager to get Giugliano out testing the bike on the new British tracks so he feels comfortable on the BMW when it comes to the new season.
Giugliano feels that BMW can offer him a strong package for the competition with the S1000RR and is very enthusiastic for the new season to begin.
