Full Specifications of the Ariel Ace R
Motorcycle brand Ariel have been very busy the last two years since the release of the Ace (where just 50 were made) producing the stunning new Ace R. It has been said that Ariel only plan to produce 10 of the new bikes, and what’s even more surprising is that you can expect to pay £49,995 + VAT. Wow!
The new Ace R features an altered version of the Honda V4 engine which produces 201 bhp, 143 nm of torque which is an increase from 98nm on the previous model. Also, Ariel have specified that the engine is even more reliable than ever.
Some of the new features that can be expected from the new Ace R, are the newly developed camshafts, improved timings, and enhanced compression. The new bike also delivers Ohlin’s suspension, a revised cylinder, and fascinatingly weighs 65% less than the Ace.
Like many other bikes for release in 2017, the Ace R features carbon fibre bodywork, with a shiny black finish for the frame, which has also reduced in weight and has been augmented.
The bike can produce a staggering 185 mph, with 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and production is likely to begin early 2017.
Those interested can catch the Ace R at Motorcycle Live until 27th November 2016.
