Dunlop to race for Bennett Suzuki IOMTT

News recently announced revealed that Michael Dunlop would be racing the new Suzuki GSX-R1000 at this year’s Isle of Man TT. Dunlop is a 13-time winner at the Isle of Man TT so it’s no surprise that Bennett’s Suzuki are absolutely delighted to have Dunlop on the team.

Michael Dunlop had his first try of the GSX-R1000 yesterday at the Mallory Park base as testing went underway. Further testing is expected to be carried out in Spain in the forthcoming weeks.

Moreover, not only will Dunlop be riding the new Suzuki at the IOMTT races in June, he will also race at the North West 200 in May, in addition to the Southern 100 and Ulster Grand Prix road races.

Steve Hicken, Bennett’s Suzuki Team Manager has expressed his excitement that Dunlop is joining the team by stating:

“We’ve known Michael for a long time and always wanted to work with him again this year, so we’re really pleased we’ve been able to put a deal together. We’ve made good progress already with the development of the new GSX-R1000, and we know the potential is there with the bike. With a proven winner like Michael onboard, there’s no reason we can’t be winning races right away. That’s got to be the aim”.News recently announced revealed that Michael Dunlop would be racing the new Suzuki GSX-R1000 at this year’s Isle of Man TT.
