Ducati’s unbelievable 1299 Superleggera
Wow! We really don’t know where to start with this bike. Ducati have seriously exceeded themselves this time and I’m sure most of you will agree.
The motorcycle manufacturer has presented the very first standard street bike which numerous carbon fibre features including; the monocoque frame, single-sided swing arm, wheels and fairing.
Extraordinarily, Ducati have created the most powerful 1285-cc twin cylinder, liquid cooled superquadro engine which creates 215 hp. Crazy right?
The superbike weights around 167 kg and carries a brand-new chassis which is finalised with Öhlins suspension. Moreover, the model delivers an aluminium petrol tank, a seat height of 830 mm and a six-speed gearbox which offers Ducati’s quick shift system.
If that’s not all, Ducati have combined an electronic control package which allow the rider to manage traction control, slide control, power launch and brake control. In addition, the motorcycle features a Bosch cornering ABS system and arrives with a race kit which comprises of a race screen, kit for removing the plate holder, billet mirror plugs, front and rear padlocks, a bike cover and a titanium akrapovic race exhaust.
What might you expect to pay for a bike of its kind, you might be wondering?
Well, Ducati are looking for £72,000 for one of these beasts! Nevertheless, the cost doesn’t really matter anyway, as only 500 are being produced and almost every single one of them has been claimed.
