BMW unveil the R nineT Urban G/S
Since the popularity of the R nineT has continuously grown over the last few years, BMW Motorrad decided it would be best to modify the bike and create four new models, one of which is the R nineT Urban G/S.
The new model is a tribute to the original R80G/S which was around in the 80’s, in the style of an adventure bike with an urban touch.
Now, when it comes to specifications the stunning new model delivers a 1170-cc air cooled engine which produces 110 bhp and weights 221 kg. The motorcycle carries shielding fork gaiters, five spoke alloy rims and ABS as standard. In addition, the manufacturer has provided optional traction control and is of course euro 4 compliant.
The fork bridges, handlebars and bar clamp are all made in aluminium. However, the fuel tank which is normally made in the same metal has been replaced with steel.
Thankfully, this version of the R nineT is made much more affordable than previous models, which is great news for those who don’t want to break the bank.
