BMW Motorrad filing with the California Air Resources Board
BMW are set to expand their retro range with the R nineT ‘Pure’ and ‘Racer’. The information was found from the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
The patent document reveals that the R nineT range will have four models, the R nineT, R nineT Scrambler and new ‘Pure’ and ‘Racer’ retro versions. The R nineT Pure will be the most moderate model of the BMW retro boxer range, while keeping the famous streamlined looks.
The new editions have the same 110bhp, 1,170cc air cooled engine, just like the other retro boxer models, but the suspension and brakes have been downgraded to bring the models below £9,000.
The R nineT Racer is more high end compared to the other models in this range and is expected to be sporty with a hint of cafe racer, priced similar to the R nineT Roadster.
The current Scrambler costs £10,530 and the R nineT comes at £11,900.
