Are KTM producing a bigger and better 1000cc V4 for 2018?
KTM Chairman Stefan Pierer, has stated that the motorcycle manufacturer will be producing a 1000-cc V4 which makes 240 bhp and is expected for release in 2018.
It is said that the motorcycle brand would like to produce around 100 bikes which deliver this output, at a much more affordable price compared to the similar styling of the Honda RC213V-S, which is sold for £137,000.
In addition to this, KTM will be manufacturing a bike suited for track riding which will deliver 270 bhp and should perform as close to the MotoGP bikes as possible.
Pricing for the new KTM has not yet been clarified. However, it is expected that the motorcycle will cost between £100,000 and £120,000.
Unfortunately, there is no available design for the new model yet. On the other hand, the project manager for the new bike has been allocated.
