Aprilia set to enhance the Dorsoduro 900 and Shiver 900 for 2017
The Dorsoduro and Shiver 900 from Aprilia are set to receive a number of new enhancements for next year which will mostly impact power.
Firstly, the engine is set to increase from 749-cc to 896-cc through expanding the stroke to 67.4 mm, where it was once 56.4 mm. The highest power now reaches 93.9 hp at around 8,500 rpm, creating 66 ftlb or torque.
Moreover, the bikes will gain a new TFT screen which is much clearer and simpler to read and is the same utilised on other Aprilia models such as the RSV4. In addition, the new models will gain a new switchable ABS system, adjustable traction control and Kayaba forks.
Like some of the other new bikes set for release in 2017, both motorcycles will be made available for A2 licence holders, potentially increasing the amount of sales for Aprilia.
