And the winner of Harley-Davidson’s Battle of the Kings is…
1st Place: Beach Bobber ( Shaw Harley-Davidson)
So, a few weeks ago, we told you about Harley-Davidsons Battle of the Kings customisation competition, were hundreds of competitors entered their one-off creations for the chance to win prize money.
The London Motorcycle Show was the host to the UK and Ireland competition, and a winner was chosen to represent the UK at the grand final which takes place at the EICMA show in November against finalists from all over Europe.
We can finally reveal that the winner of the UK and Ireland competition was Shaw Harley-Davidson with their ‘Beach Bobber’. The stunning design was created by Neil Sefton who is Shaw Speed and Customs Head Custom Technician, along with the rest of his team. The Shaw Harley-Davidson dealer, Steven C. Willis released a statement after the weekend expressing his excitement that his team would be representing the UK in the competition, as well as having the opportunity to show off their unique designs.
The competition consisted of two rounds of judging. The first an online vote where the list was narrowed down to the top five, who then went on to attend the London Motorcycle Show and present their designs to a panel of seven judges for the second round. Each design was scored across three different categories which included originality and creativity, design vision and the quality of build and execution.
Guildford Harley-Davidson took second place in the competition with ‘Cookie Cutter’ while third place was secured by Warr’s Harley-Davidsons ‘Super Hooligan’.
